Walked the Dog”-the DJ Superior and DMX story.
The film is based on the book – “The Man Who Walked the Dog” by
Jerome Enders. It is a provocative, controversial and a raw story
about DMX’s rise to super stardom with the assistance of DJ
Superior. DJ Superior is the support system that helped keep DMX
focused as he endured the social ills along his road to success. The
movie also has the backdrop of Yonkers, NY and explores two guys with
a strong bond surviving the social ills of the hood; but whose
friendship would not survive the wicked hands of the music industry
that ripped them apart.
“The Man Who Walked the Dog” exploits the truth behind DMX’s
success and the Hip Hop industry. This film will feed the appetite of
people around the world who are interested in the DMX story or the Hip
Hop industry. DMX fans will be wanting more.
The backdrop of the story takes place in the streets of Yonkers, NY
and chronicles the trials and tribulations of two friends who became
close through their love of music as they survived the social ills of
the hood. Their friendship survived the streets, incarceration and
drugs, but their friendship could not survive the wicked hands of the
music industry that ripped them apart.
Critics say, that this is a story that needs to be told in order to
understand the complex dynamic surrounding DMX’s rise and fall in
the world of hip-hop. This film will also appeal to the hip-hop
historians and music lovers around the world because of its gritty
Diemiruaya Debian is a 1st generation Nigerian, born and raised in
London, England. He now resides in New York City, where he has lived
for the past 20 years. Diemiruaya is extremely creative with no
ceiling to the heights of his imagination. He dedicates his love for
film making to his appreciation for the artwork of world-famous
artists Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. Their artwork made him
realize that art and film making are both expressions of the soul. He
loves making films because he is able to use it as a medium to express
himself. It is not enough for him to show people the world as he sees
it. He wants people to see their own world anew.
