That ah ha moment

So after some deliberate soul reflecting, and reexamining of myself and my business. I’ve come to several conclusions.

1. I hadn’t been quite as clear as I initially set out to be, therefore wasn’t garnering the results I wanted.

2. I knew I wanted to help young African American men, but just hadn’t narrowed it down to what type, lifestyle and back ground.

3. I wasn’t going home, but instead I was going harder until I was going to find the results that I wanted, which still wasn’t working.

What does this even means? What is he talking about, right? Many viewing this particularly on this platform, can truly relate. Because at some point you have started a business, and had the pleasure of the pain staking search of finding your niche, and target market.

“You created a lane, found results so stay in that vein.”

Well for me, today I found my ah ha moment. You know what I’m talking about, after several attempts of trying to grow and build your business to no avail. But, when you get it, figure it out, the who, what and why. Man, did I say man it is so enlightening and refreshing to finally see some light, please don’t misconstrue your no where near the end of your troubles associated with having a business. At least you can function as one, which is more important than sitting on the sidelines, as we business owners know “life’s not a spectators sport” it’s about what action you take, and what you do when faced with obstacles.

So below you will find, what I was looking like when it comes to how I wanted to be presented. Problem I found later it didn’t address what I do, for you the “ideal client.”

Author of A Collection Of Conversations A Guide To Success Vol. 1

Conversations is a defacto longitudinal investigation of human behavior. An anthropological analysis that provocatively demonstrates the power and purpose of sharing experiences in order to influence change. A must read for all those loving, working and providing guidance to young people.

I believe I’ve made a clear, concise description of me and what it is I do,for my target audience and market. ( perhaps some may disagree, trust I’m open to suggestion )

“Whatever wanna do study it, and the person doing it, getting the results you want!  ,your life is a be the

Lately I’ve had the opportunity to make the time in my days count for me, and not against “Time Management” our best friend when it comes to taking on an insurmountable task dubbed “your dreams & goals.”  As I finish working on my morning assignment with creating grids to discover who is actually my ideal client.

I learned a lot about myself, and the consistency and pattern to said client. They are between the ages of 25-35, African American and seeking guidance to discovering who they are and where they fit in, in the big scheme of things we call life. Too often, I found myself asked the same questions over and over again. “You being faced with the same set of circumstances (the struggle). Seeing that you have made your own opportunity and living your own personal experience of seeking out the answers to the same questions. How did you find your purpose?”

I found where my expertise in the matter makes me the one to call on to do the job.

Thus “As a Transformation Life Coach, I help you through a guided discovery process. Based on a solution oriented supportive partnership. Utilizing tools gear towards empowering you to grow, change and reach your goals.”

Like a coach on the basketball team, we too are a team working on a plan for you to win the game. I assist in reconnecting you to the foundations and the fundamentals of the game as you do the work. Making your three pointers your priority shot. Your priority being Your Why.

“I come from the same place my ideal client comes from, they will relate”

“Journey with a young man determined to make it in “the hood” by any means necessary. Who only finds in the end his methods never justify the means, by which he tries to make it out. He eventually finds his journey has him in the belly of the beast. Now half man half gladiator and from the cold concrete and bars of the cages all beast. He realizes one day after his release, this can’t be living and this definitely isn’t the life of one with destiny.

They say change comes when you’re sick and tired, he was both and ready for change. Fast forward to today Jeff Hodges is a Mentor, Community Activist who is a Strong Positive Black Business Man. No longer is he a part of the problem perpetuating our communities but a determined pillar of strength. He details his transformation while sharing with young mentees how and what resources he used, to make all of the necessary changes based on a series of profound discussions from some of our most prominent individuals.”

From my book  A Collection Of Conversations, A Guide To Success vol. 1

“Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life”

The mantra and philosophy to the platform I created that’s changing lives daily! So if you or someone you know is in need of a coach, contact me. One of the most important things in life is to always remain true to self, a man of your word; one who has integrity, shows loyalty and is not swayed by the lack of realness in others. It’s my firm belief, in order for our young men to act and behave as kings, we – the elder men – must present ourselves as kings. I like to close with this piece I found awhile ago somewhere on the internet. Enjoy it, peace and please share this post if you found it to be helpful.

Thanks

“Tell me who your best friends are, and I will tell you who you are. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights. A mirror reflects a man’s face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses. The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate, for the good and the bad. The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve. Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others it increases your mediocrity. An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with negative thinking and negative acting people. As you grow, your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are. Friends that don’t help you climb, will want you to crawl. Your friends will either stretch your vision or choke your dream,

Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you. Consider this; Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution, because those who never succeed themselves are always first to tell you how. Not everyone has the right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person. Don’t follow anyone who’s not going anywhere. With some people you spend and evening; with others you invest it. Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships.
